We are celebrating Mr. Chinn by having our 1st Annual Keep Your Chinn Up Volleyball Tournament on December 12. We will be selling shirts for this event that were designed by Marley Moore and Corbin Salyers. All proceeds will go to local families affected by cancer. The store closes December 1. More details to come about the volleyball tournament. 🏐🌩️⚡️💚

The CKMS Green Thumb Society (agriculture club) has been invited to help carve pumpkins at the Pumpkin House this Wednesday, October 23, from 5-7pm. Anyone is welcome to attend. Of course, good behavior and participation is required and everyone must be picked up by 7pm. Please let Mr. Hibner know if you will be there!

📚 October is National Book Month 📚 To celebrate, several of our staff shared what their favorite book was that they read in middle school. 🌩️💚 We will also be starting a Fall Reading Challenge next week!

We are pleased to announce that we now have the option to accept credit cards as form of payment for entry into home sports games at CKMS. 💳🌩️💚

📅 Mark Your Calendars 📅 The End of the 1st 6 Weeks is on September 30. Students will receive their 1st 6 Weeks Report Cards on October 7, and Parent-Teacher Conference will be on October 8 from 4:00-6:30pm. There will also be a WCBOE Board Meeting on October 8 at SVHS to recognize students who scored exemplary on last spring’s general summative assessments. If your child is being recognized, they will be bringing home a handout today with more information. If you’d like to attend the Board Meeting, as well as the Parent-Teacher Conference, you may want to come toward the beginning of the Parent-Teacher Conference to attend both. 🌩️💚
